Brief

The Wadworth marketing team wanted to reach their target audience with a key reason to visit. The dog-friendly nature of Wadworth pubs was identified as a primary USP and we were were tasked with creating a marketing campaign to showcase this distinctive offering and drive footfall into their pubs.

Approach

"To celebrate #NationalDogDay, Brew ideated sponsored dog walk, 'Wadwoof', to and from the Wadworth Brewery Tap & Shop in Devizes. The event would honour the dogs' importance to Wadworth and raise funds for The Dogs Trust.

We recommended leveraging all of the brand's marketing channels and creating a dog-friendly atmosphere to encourage owners to take photos, which would maximize the digital reach of the campaign. Additionally, we developed a PR campaign to engage local press and radio in order to generate excitement for the event offline."

Solution

The 'Wadwoof' campaign reached over 100,000 people and resulted in an interview on BBC Radio Wiltshire, quality website backlinks (essential to SEO), content highlighting the dog-friendly credentials of Wadworth pubs, high social media engagement, and a charity partnership with the Dogs Trust.
