Brief

When it comes to social media for the hospitality industry, we’ve had over 15 years of experience, which is why multi-site brands like Stonegate, Wadworth, University of Wolverhampton and – in this case – Mitchells & Butlers’ beloved brands, content creators and central team reached out to us for social media training. Here’s what we did...

Approach

Mitchells & Butlers main concern was that within their 2,000 managed pubs, bars, and restaurants across the UK, there were a wide range of brands, audiences, and even social media proficiencies.

So, after understanding the full range of social media literacy within the company, we set about training social leads across their “soft brands” with a Local Social Training Academy.

This became a powerful resource of over 60 training modules (that’s still growing, by the way!), featuring everything from reactive posting and influencer collaboration to mastering photography for social

Solution

With our Local Social Training Academy at their fingertips, the social media leads of Mitchells & Butlers are empowered to take their learnings and start posting in a way that increases awareness, engagement, and loyalty

Since our FY24 check-in with the brands, local sites have created over 345,000 local social posts and increased site-level engagement by an average of 74%

Thanks to our social media training for hospitality marketing, both content output and quality have skyrocketed. Think it could be you next?
